What are some of ya'lls favorite Disney Channel Original Movies? (also known as DCOMS ) Mine are: Zenon, Girl of the 21st Century (1999), The Ultimate Christmas Present (2000), Cadet Kelly (2002), Get a Clue (2002), Pixel Perfect (2004), and The Cheetah Girls (2003) to name a few! Disney Channel movies from the turn of the century made a huge impact on my life, and most likely contributed to my unrealistic expectations of what high school would be like lol. Attachments:

OMG one of my favorite topics ever. Ugh the excitement that came with the "let's watch a disney channel movie" song playing before a DCOM aired.
I love all the ones you mentioned so much! I also relate to them creating unrealistic teenage life expectations hahaha.
Some of my other faves include: OFC the HSM series (had such a profound impact on my life honestly), but also Mom's Got a Date with a Vampire (2000) and Brink (1998) are big fave classics of mine.
Some of them aren't exactly great but are still great to watch for some laughs, like Luck of the Irish lol.

Lowkey the absolute best DCOM ever is Lemonade Mouth and you cannot change my mind. Past that, the Zenon movies and the HSM movies are lifechanging pieces of film and they should be placed in the Louvre.

Duuuuude I remember seeing this in the theater! My family and some other families used to always go to the beach in Oxnard and then stop at the Camarillo outlet mall on the way home and while the moms shopped the dads would take all the kids to watch something and we all saw this. I gotta rewatch it, haven't in years!

Zenon movies were so good and of course HSM should have won several academy awards.

Reminds me of the time my friend and I choreographed an entire dance to the Shake It Up theme song and performed it at our 7th grade talent show dressed as Rocky and CeCe. The sound person messed up our track and we had to start over even though we were already halfway through lol Im sure the video of it is 10000% the most embarrassing thing ever but we had fun

i love lemonade mouth and starstruck Yes Startstruck was everything for me when it came out. Did an aerobics routine to one of the songs in P.E. class in middle school. It was either to "Shades" or "Party Up" I can't remember lol. I also used to model as a kid and I randomly met Anna Margaret at a casting call and she was so nice and gave me her autograph. I was literally starstruck and felt like I met an A-List celebrity lol She did a bunch of songs on the soundtrack, I don't remember if she was in the movie or not. They played her music videos on Disney channel a lot when the movie came out

omg yes I remember Go Figure! I liked it a lot. Made me wish i could figure skate. Cheetah Girls 1 & 2 are the PINNACLE Honestly girl Camp Rock was kinda coming for HSM's neck when it came out I'm not gonna lie. It was definitely giving a different kind of spice. I don't know if I can say better than HSM because there's just something so perfect and beautiful about those movies in my opinion, but I totally get what you mean!! I remember when Camp Rock came out and at the time I was the biggest Miley/Hannah stan, in my mind she was the greatest thing to happen to music, you couldn't tell me otherwise. Everyone was talking about this girl Demi and my 9 year old self was like "idk if she all that, let me be the judge." I kid you not her voice had me FLOORED. I became a Demi stan instantly- you can't deny the POWER of her vocals. Her first couple of albums still slap in my opinion

Damn boy I remember the original was blaring in malls back in the 2001-2003 timeframe. I had no idea boy that This is me was not done by Michelle Branch. I remember this as the soundtrack of American Pie 2 the movie back then.
