Y'all what are your favorite cases of lost media? I'm really interested in the lost Green Day album, Cigarettes and Valentines, but I'm also obsessed with the lost Mean Girls DS game. I could go on for days and days about lost media. A couple lost songs were found in the last few years like Pull It From My Teeth by Galaxy Family or Ready N Steady by DA and cases like that that amaze me. I personally have been looking around for a few things like the two missing Backyardigans pilots, one animated and one live action titled Me and My Friends, and the Mean Girls DS game. Are y'all interested in this stuff?

It really is! If you want to learn a bit more about it, I'd suggest checking out BlameItOnJorge, LSuperSonicQ, and All Things Lost on YouTube. Another good place to look at is the Lost Media Wiki, which is a wikipedia but for a ton of lost media things. Here's the Wikipedia Page for Lost Media which can help explain what counts as lost media and some of the different types! I really enjoy learning about it and telling others about it. If you wanna hear more about it, I'd love to tell you!!

I love lost messageboards. The MSPA forums, for example, kind of just vanished off the face of the earth, and the amount of content there would be enough to keep historians busy for years. Even stuff like 4chan has a really interesting history if you look deep enough. For a more macabre look at lost media, the article for the movie heartbeat in the brain on wikipedia fascinates me endlessly. I'm seriously considering trying to find and digitise it and upload it to TPB or something.

I recently found out about MySpace and how they lost all media from more than about 3-4 years ago. All the songs, pictures, profiles, everything from the 90's to early 2010's if it wasn't kept up by the user. I find it all so interesting and I really love searching for these things. Lost film is really fun to search for. My current favorite case of lost film has to be the Royal Family documentary from 1969. It was aired five times before the royal family requested it never be played again. The last airing that I can find a date for is in 1972 but it was also aired on ITV twice so there's a chance someone had a vhs or something of it somewhere. The movie you linked really looks interesting, and I found a page for it on the Lost Media Wiki (here) if you're interested!

There is the Old Net if one wants to look at how the internet was in the early days.
Don't forget Geocities too.
