Getting sent to the principal's office was a VERY 2000s trope!! in so many movies and TV shows, a character would get caught up in some trouble they didn't start and get sent to the principal! the principle was usually angry and incompetent and would give out punishments without listening... Share your stories or one's you've heard down below!I personally got in trouble kind of a lot in middle school but usually for nothing serious? The only time I really deserved it was when I talked back to my PE teacher, but he was such a stereotypically mean and belligerent PE teacher that he probably had it coming

I did for a crazy catfishing one of my then High School friends and also catfished another guy. This was before cyberbullying laws existed.
I was the person who suspected that this one guy was so obsessed of a girl who broke up with him. He'd whine that stuff to me that I had to resort to using fake lawsuit tactics just to scare the hell out of my old friend at the time.

So once I was harassed by a bunch of chicks in seventh grade because I got high scores on state testing and when asked how I did it, I told them that I don't eat in class like they do and instead focus. They decided this was rude and that they needed to harass me all day. I had just gotten out of the psychiatric hospital and was writing down everything I wanted to do to them. I never mentioned names or descriptions of them and it was mostly things like I wanted to curse them with damp socks and all dried out pens. The principal took this as threats and I was expelled. Other than that, there was one other time I was sent to the principals office and that's when I was in fifth grade I think. My older sister, who had moved out by that point, falsified a CPS report and the school had to investigate. Nothing happened and my older sister got a massive fine for knowingly making a false report.

I never got sent to the principal's office but when I was in early elementary and stepped on a kid's fingers because she stuck them through the holes on the play structure and I thought it would be funny for some stupid reason? Then I ran away from yard duty and they had to corner me on the slide and I got "benched" 😅 I was the kind of kid that cried when I was late for school tho lol

That's not a very 2000s trope.
