I own all the Sims games! 1-4 at least. I have the ultimate collections for 1 and 2 and all but maybe three packs for 3. For 4, I'm missing most of the stuff packs but I own all but one game pack (Star Wars) and all but two expansion packs (Island Living, Snowy Escape). My least favorite pack that I own for Sims 4 has to be Eco Lifestyle. I love the outfits but I just don't understand the gameplay and the poor quality of Sims 4 in general doesn't help. My favorite Sims 4 pack is Tiny Living, full stop. I love the challenge of making tiny houses and I absolutely love building. The most useless one I have is Vampires. I just don't play the game enough to mess with it. I really prefer to play with the Create A Sim and Building systems instead of actually playing so the build and CAS items are more important to me. I agree with your thing about seasons and pets being base game. It's a life simulation and that's a proper everyday living thing. I think pets should be base game but I think a separate game pack that allows for your sims to be vets and brings in horses and raccoons and birds and stuff. Get Famous is one of my favorites but it really needs a better world and the fame system really oughta be fixed up. I think the whole Get Together pack and the Discover University packs should've been base game as well. I shouldn't have had to like 80 bucks to unlock basic things I have to do daily like plan for college and do clubs. It's all lowkey wack.
(PS: Regarding your status, it's pretty dead whenever I'm awake so probably noon to about 3 or 4 pm mountain time is when it's most active. I'm usually asleep at those times lol)

Island living is really only great if you're a beach bum like me lol. I regret getting vampires more than anything. Not only is it annoying to have in your game they're genuinely just hard to play with. My favorite expansion for sims 2 was apartments but its been 10+ years since Ive had access to that one. I actually only had university for sims 3 and its still my favorite (aside from the lagging but its really not unbearable). Sims 4 is an absolute messss (base game isn't even playable) but I haven't stopped playing or giving them my money lololol. I think the sims team needs to listen to the community wayyy more moving forward *thx <3

Cause I kinda want a few stuff packs but I really don't want to buy them so close to Christmas if I'm just not gonna end up liking them. Nifty Knitting seems really interesting but I feel like it may be more like Eco Lifestyle where all the youtubers hyped it so much just for it to be lukewarm at best :/

I don't like to waste my time. Im not really in a rush to get the more recent stuff. University really changed the way I value packs . Nifty knitting seems cool mainly for the items. Its probably similar to laundry day in a way. I'd buy that one.

It really wouldn't take too much to fix up the game. Just some more complex relationships and maybe a few more actions for idling and skill building. Even just some smaller build items would be better. We deserve small telescopes and such, there's no reason for everything to be massive. The telescope, the cupcake maker, the pianos. Just a basic little telescope and an upright piano would satisfy me but no, we get a snowy vacation pack using a vacation system that's broken. It's the little things that apparently the hundreds of dollars worth of packs couldn't fix lol.
