Try Corpse Party for horror! It was my first one and I really liked it (though the game is better).
Other than that, I like slice of life ones. Toradora was really good. Currently I am watching Food Wars, which is really funny! Oshiete Galko Chan is hilarious. And the Danganronpa anime is pretty good, but again, the games are better.
Unfortunately, a lot of lgbt ones can be a bit... yeah. The only one I have watched is Sakura Trick. I still love it, but it is definitely a bit more sexualised than I would like.

Since you mentioned Death Note I think you'd like Promised Neverland or Tokyo Ghoul. And for lgbt, I loved Yurii! On Ice -- it can get a bit weird at some parts but it's soo good

The Great Pretender is fun, ( has large cast of loveable criminals), Dohohedoro is wacky (it's a about a dude trying to figure out who cursed him to have a reptile head, and more wackiness happened from there)
The Flower We Saw That Day is really sweet and full a feels, it's about a group of childhood friends who come together after their old friend returns from the grave as a happy go lucky ghost girl. Nichijou is a show that features stories from a robot highschool girl whose creator is a super genius 10 year old who LOVES anything to do with sharks, and they adopt a snarky talking black cat ( think Salem from Sabrina The teenaged witch), and the other part of the story is wacky highschool hijinks.
Creamy Mami is a cute classic magical girl show about a preteen gaining the power to age up to a beautiful teenager who becomes a pop star.
Space Dandy is about a (wannabe) himbo trying to make ends meet by doing odd jobs around the galaxy, while trying not to get distracted by all the beautiful aliens and ladies he comes across. (The theme for this show SLAPS btw)
and it would be a sin for me not to recommend Lucky Star, a slice of life show about highschool girls just vibin,
Higurashi is a good horror anime about a boy uncovering a murder mystery/ old cruse in his new small town, it's really gorey tho' so if that's not your jam then stay away.(also I prefer the OG over the remake but the remake is still watchable tho)
Panty and Stocking if you're into (or don't mind) gross out humor and ALOT of sex jokes, the music in that show is pretty good. Trigun is about an "outlaw" who has a mighty bound on his head and is said to be the world's most powerful organic weapon, but actually he's just a goofy dork who just wants to spread the message of Love and Peace through out the world.
Deadman wonderland is another spooky one about a highschool being framed for a crime he did do, he's sent off to jail where he takes part in a death game.
And Gakuen Babysitters is about a highschooler joining the babysitting club at his school to help look after his lil brother and some other babies at school, it's a simple premise but it's REALLY cute, If you like babies/ and or watching kids do dumb cute stuff, and don't mind the sound of crying babies.
Thats about all of the shows I can think of
