Just thinking about how I feel like this site was more preppy/bimbo style people previously but I've seen an influx of mallgoths so I'm curious who's more active now.

Neither tbh, I feel like my style can't really be defined with just prep or just goth (mainly bc I'm indecisive with my style lol)

right now my i feel like im leaning more toward a super hyperfeminine style now. I used to dress in darker clothing but i've always wanted to dress more feminine since early high school. I want to add more lolita pieces to my wardrobe. I don't know if i can call myself a bimbo

When I'm just out and about I'm all about a good 2000's casual goth look. Long sleeves, flare jeans, and converse.. maybe a headband or fun cross necklace. However, if I'm dedicated to going out... It's a gothic lolita outfit all the way. Full black petticoat, blouse, etc. I definitely air more towards the gothic looks.

I was expecting everybody to be in their mid-30's-early 40's like me to talk about what they were like in High School what cliques they were in at the time . Note I was in high school from 2001-2005 and in college from 2005-2009. But then again its a different group here. Full Disclosure I am really 36 and remember the time that going on Geocities, Myspace would have been wonderful things on the web at the time.

I'm both/either, depending on the day, lol. but definitely lean more towards goth in my day to day. i remember very distinctly in middle school (during the death throes of myspace, fb took over right when i turned 13) having rigid styles i switched through; emo in 6th grade, punk in seventh grade, and preppy in eighth grade (bc i found a pair of coach tennis shoes at a thrift store lolll). but rly i was OBSESSED with scene culture off myspace growing up, not mall goth or preps at all.

I like to take inspiration from goth aesthetics but my favorite is 2000s skatewear and skate culture. I love the baggy clothes and layers. I think it's also hard to identify with a single aesthetic or subculture, especially with the power of the internet and social media. Also, the people we see online who fall perfectly into one subculture are likely just presenting themselves that way and are probably more multifaceted in real life.

A lot of my wardrobe is colorful button ups, honestly. Like, a lot is just that summer beachy vibe stuff. I generally enjoy thibgs that are colorful, and also have some vintage stuff I thrifted.
I also have those hoodie and sweats days😅
